Contra-Indications Do not use if you 1) are pregnant or breastfeeding 2) are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy/Polygonaceae/Brassicaceae family 3) are taking products containing diuretics 4) have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet). Do not exceed the recommended dose unless suggested by a health care practitioner.
Known Adverse Reactions Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.
Cautions and Warnings Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a medical condition or if you are taking any medications. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if abdominal pain, diarrhea or vomiting occurs for over 3 days. Detoxification reactions include mild headaches, nausea, and flu like symptoms may occur. In such case, reduce initial dose to one tablespoon daily for the first week and gradually increase to the suggested adult dosage thereafter. The herbal tea you prepare must be kept refrigerated at all times (do not freeze). Tea contains no preservatives. Treat tea in opened containers as a perishable food and use within 21 days. Opened containers of tea that have been unrefrigerated for over 24 hours must be discarded.
